Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your eGifter Rewards account. Once enabled, you'll confirm your identity with a second verification step whenever you sign in, in addition to your password.
You can set up 2FA using one of two methods: an authenticator app, or your mobile phone number. Choose the option that works best for you below.
Step 1: Start the 2FA Setup
From the Two Factor Authentication Setup Required screen, choose your preferred verification method: “Use Authenticator App” or “Use Mobile Number.”
Option A: Set Up with an Authenticator App
Recommended if you'd like to generate codes without needing cell service.
- Download an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator onto your mobile device, if you don’t already have one.
- Select “Use Authenticator App,” then scan the QR code shown on screen using your authenticator app.
- Enter the verification code generated by your authenticator app into the verification code field.
- Save your backup code shown on screen in a safe place. You'll need it to recover your account if you lose access to your mobile device.
- Click “Continue” to finish setup.
Option B: Set Up with a Mobile Number
Available for US and Canada phone numbers only.
- Select “Use Mobile Number.”
- Enter your mobile phone number in the field provided.
- Click “Send Verification Code.”
- Enter the code sent to your phone when prompted, then confirm to complete setup.
Step 2: Verify at Sign-In
Once 2FA is enabled, you'll be asked to enter a verification code each time you sign in to your eGifter Rewards account. Enter the code from your authenticator app or text message, then click “Verify.”
Need Help?
If you lose access to your authenticator app or mobile device, use the backup code you saved during setup to recover your account. If you no longer have your backup code, submit a request.
